I will have to get on an airplane in less than a week and I struggle with anxiety, great anxiety about it. I found this reassuring website today.
One of the things I like is that the author says to own your fear, to notice and accept your own discomfort in the situation. Because that's what it's like: a neverending, grinding circle of anxiety: I think about flying>>I become anxious because of all the anxiety I've ever felt about flying>>>feel that adrenaline kick in validating my ill and unhappy feelings!
Although the author has a book and tape program, he's been so generous on his website, I feel calmer already!
